Insert Images
You may insert more then one image at a time, and you may choose to load each image either from your computer or from the site's image library.
To insert an image, first select a block by clicking once on the tag icon, then choose either Insert > Images > Before selection, or Insert > Images > After selection from the Menu Bar. The Satellite Window will open to the Insert Image screen.
Choose from one of the following options:
Insert a group of images before/after the selected block
This will create a new paragraph, necessary if you’d like to include a caption, or to manage the images as a group.
Choose this option if you would like to insert more then one image, though nothing prohibits you from inserting a "group of one".
Insert a single image
This allows you to manage the horizontal alignment of an image among text.
When you have made your choice, press the Continue button to proceed to the next screen.
For each image you will need to provide the following information:
Image file
Choose fromm the following options:
- Press the Browse button to select an image form your computer to upload to the site.
- Click on the Load from Library link to select an image fro the site's library.
Alternate text
This is the text that you see when you mouse over an image, it is also used by the browser in the event the user does not have image viewing enabled on his/her browser.
Type or paste in the text to use as the alternate text. You may not leave this field blank.
Border
Check this option if you want the image to have a border around all four edges. Otherwise uncheck it.
Padding
Insert a number in this field if you would like to add space around the image. The number should reflect the number of pixels of padding you wish to apply around al four sides of the image.
Type in 0 (zero) if you do not want there to be any padding around the image.
Leave this field blank to maintain the site's default settings.
Line Break (only for multiple images)
Check this option if you want insert a line break after this image and before the next one. Leave it unchecked if you want the images to be side by side.
You will not have this option if you are inserting only one image.
Additional information when inserting a group of images (even a group of one)
Paragraph Alignment
Choose either center, left or right to align the entire group of images.
Caption
Type or paste in the text you would like to use as a caption for the entire group of images. You may choose to leave this blank.
Additional information when inserting a single (non group) image
Image Alignment
Choose either default, left or right to align the the image. The image will be place relatively to the text surrounding it.
Press Apply when you have finished.
Wait for sWord to park the satellite window and refresh the main browser window. The image(s) will be inserted either before or after (depending on which option you chose form the menu bar) the block which you selected in the first step.
If at any point, before pressing the apply button, you choose not to insert the image(s), simply press the close button. The Satellite Window will be parked and no changes will be made to your document.
To make change an image or it's properties once it has been inserted, you may double click on the relative tag icon to reopen the Satellite Window to the tag editor.
To change the alignment of a group of images, proceed as you would with any other paragraph.
