Move a Block

To move a block, you must first select it, then choose one of the following options from the Menu Bar:

Once you have made your selection, you will then need to select the target block. To do so, click on the target block’s opening tag icon.


Edit > Move > Before block

This will move the selected block before the target block.


For example, assume we have three blocks in the following order: 1-paragraph, 2-image, 3-table.

To move the table before the paragraph:

  1. Select the table's tag icon.
  2. Choose Edit > Move > Before block.
  3. Select the paragraph's tag icon.
  4. Wait until the page refreshes.

The new order of the blocks is now: 1-table, 2-paragraph, 3-image.


Edit > Move > After block

This will move the selected block after the target block.


For example, assume we have three blocks in the following order: 1-paragraph, 2-image, 3-table.

To move the table after the paragraph:

  1. Select the table's tag icon.
  2. Choose Edit > Move > After block.
  3. Select the paragraph's tag icon.
  4. Wait until the page refreshes.

The new order of the blocks is now: 1-paragraph, 2-table, 3-image.

Note: The same results could have been achieved by using the Edit > Move > Before block , and selecting the image's tag icon as the target block.


Edit > Move > To the beginning of block

This will move the selected block inside, but at the beginning of, the target block.


For example, assume we have three blocks in the following order: 1-paragraph, 2-image, 3-table.

To move the image to inside the paragraph, before the text begins:

  1. Select the image's tag icon.
  2. Choose Edit > Move > To the beginning of block.
  3. Select the paragraph's tag icon.
  4. Wait until the page refreshes.

The new order of the blocks is now: 1-image and paragraph, 2-table

Note: depending on the horizontal align properties of both the paragraph and the image, the actual picture may or may not appear before the text. In any event, you will notice that the image's tag icon is actually before the text. If you have problems locating the image's tag, simply roll over the image with your cursor and the relative icon will light up.


Edit > Move > To the end of block

This will move the selected block inside, but at the end of, the target block.

For example, assume we have three blocks in the following order: 1-paragraph, 2-image, 3-table.

To move the image to inside the paragraph, after the text ends:

  1. Select the image's tag icon.
  2. Choose Edit > Move > To the end of block.
  3. Select the paragraph's tag icon.
  4. Wait until the page refreshes.

The new order of the blocks is now: 1- paragraph and image, 2-table.

Note: depending on the horizontal align properties of both the paragraph and the image, the actual picture may or may not appear after the text. In any event, you will notice that the image tag icon is actually after the text.
