Remove a Block

To remove a block, you must first select it, then choose Edit > Remove from the Menu Bar.

sWord will delete the entire block and all of it’s contents.

For example, if you have a paragraph which contains the text: "I love email.". Suppose that the word "email" is linked to your email address. That means that the word "email" is actually contained inside a link block, which is itself nested within the paragraph block.

  • If you were to select the paragraph tag icon, then choose Edit > Remove from the Menu Bar, the entire paragraph would disappear.
  • If you were to select the link tag icon, then choose Edit > Remove from the Menu Bar, the word email would disappear. The paragraph would then read "I Love."

Note: you wanted to remove the link from the word "email" without actually removing the text, you should select the link tag and use the Link > remove command from the Menu Bar.
