View in Preview Mode
If the option View > Preview in the Menu Bar is active, that means that the document you are currently viewing is the version in editing, being viewed in edit mode.
Use this option to temporarily preview the document.
Note: previewing a document is not the same thing as publishing a document. When you preview a document, what you are seeing is just that - a preview of what it would look like if it were published.
